We understand that the purpose of our existence is share Christ's message and reach the lost for Him.  As such, we support a variety of local, regional an international missions.

North American Mission Board - The North American Mission board is an organization through which Southern Baptists can directly support missionaries who carry out missions within Canada and the US.  This includes disaster relief and church planting.  Through mobile kitchens units and focused disaster relief teams, we have been able to support the countless efforts of volunteers that have fed and shared the message of Christ through events such as hurricane Katrina, wildfires in California and flooding in the midwest.  The NAMB also offers opportunities to students such as through the World Changers program.  New churches numbering over 1,455 are planted through the efforts of more than 5,271 North American Missionaries, whose efforts are coordinated through your North American Mission Board (www.namb.net) and individual state conventions.

International Mission Board - The IMB provides Southern Baptists a way to support international missions when we are unable to physically go ourselves.  The major fund raising events for the IMB are through the October offering for World Hunger and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  100% of the funds collected for World Hunger actually purchase food for people around the world.  This is made possible by funding through the Cooperative Program that covers all administrative costs for the effort.  Through the International Mission Board (www.imb.org), Southern Baptists support approximately 5,300 missionaries who are engaging more than 1,100 different people groups around the world.

Cooperative Program - Churches in South Carolina work together through the state convention to support a wide array of ministries and missions including: evangelism efforts, children’s homes, volunteer missions, missions education, new churches, colleges and universities, collegiate ministries, camps, and much more. For additional information concerning your state convention, log on to www.sbc.net and click on state conventions.

The Good Samaritan Colony is a local substance abuse rehabilitation center for men.  They receive no government funding and use a drug-free, Christ-centered approach to helping men who ventured down the destructive road of drugs get back on their feet and back to their families.
